Specialized care for black, mixed and matte skin

D. Aeschbacher is a young African entrepreneur and founder of the cosmetics brand ‘MOI-EBENE BEAUTY’.

Mrs. Aeschbacher created her brand to provide products specifically tailored for women and men with black, mixed and dark skin. She also wants to support those who have identity issues relating to their skin colour by offering them products that will help them beautify their skin in a more natural way.

She has found that many people are influenced by the current trend associating a fair complexion with beauty and prosperity. This unhealthy idea causes them to distort their skin colour, often without being aware of the impact that the toxic substances contained in these products can have on the skin and on their overall health. These substances often cause the appearance of unsightly blemishes and leave the skin so thin that it can no longer heal properly. They can also pass into the blood and attack the liver, kidneys and brain, which can eventually lead to organ failure. These physical side effects are often exacerbated by damaging psychological, emotional, and social consequences.

D. Aeschbacher is all too aware of these alarming dangers, and firmly believes that everyone should try to be satisfied with their natural skin complexion. This is because the prevailing beauty standard in today’s society, which promotes a fair complexion as the ideal, does not reflect reality in any way. Conforming to this standard by changing your skin’s natural complexion devalues your identity and is generally associated with a confused self-perception, which can have unfortunate consequences. She practises in a hospital setting and has therefore witnessed the upsetting impact this can have on those affected.

Her project

Mrs. Aeschbacher is passionate about the study of the human body, and the complexity of its functions and its dysfunctions, and is currently conducting research in the health sector. In her work, she helps to safeguard the physical and mental health of her patients, which involves preventing and treating a range of destructive conditions, including the subject addressed in her statement.

As a continuation of her project, she decided to expand her knowledge of cosmetology and collaborate with laboratories specializing in natural skin care. As a result, her company recently launched its first range of natural cosmetic products.

Through her cosmetics brand ‘MOI-EBENE BEAUTY’, Mrs. Aeschbacher wants to promote and help those who want to celebrate their natural skin colour, something which is, after all, primarily an individual responsibility. She believes that everyone should have the opportunity to enhance their complexion in a natural and authentic way.

Her convictions ?

D.Aeschbacher believes that enhancing your natural complexion and accepting yourself can boost your self-image. It is important not to be influenced by diktats when it comes to beauty, because beauty is individual and comes in many forms. Celebrating your complexion regardless of your skin tone is to celebrate your identity, an idea which is underlined by the brand’s tagline:

“My skin color, My identity”.
